After the loss of ones treasured pet, there is still a time of grief  that is allowed to take place

“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened. ” Anatole France

Grief

While walking through this valley and the tears that still fall

I can’t find the words to express thank you for the call

Nor can I comprehend Gods ways, so unknown to us as man.

I will keep in mind your words of kindness as I walk this valley deep

Knowing that my Crystal today is sound asleep to us down here

Yet I’m sure she’s dancing for her Creator today as she always did

Playfully running through the fallen gum leaves upon Heavens’ distant shore

Merrily, happily living her dearest part of life once more

A word of kindness

An unexpected call

A card in a the mail box

Ease the grief of the loss

Of one special little treasure

Who lived within my house

Loved daily walks and danced

Fallen gum leaves to play in

Chasing the winds that blew

Prancing and dancing

Sleeping too

That was her life

My crystal bush

Job 1:21  the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

  1. Thank you Maxine for your tender words about a loved pet. It reminds me of my Brandi who climbed in my lap to say goodbye with many kisses when I took her to the kennel before a weekend trip. My partner and had no idea she would pass away in her sleep while we were gone we cried and cried. It has been well over 10 years since she crossed over the rainbow bridge but my heart still is tender. I know that she is with Jesus resting under His feet looking for daddy’s return.

    • There are times when its wise to share form the heart , hopefully it touches an other to lift them above the grief they have experienced from a loss of a dear mate. not all mates are humans but they were a part of our family. A void is left as much as we know they have gone to a place of peace and rest and winds of time can still return the memories every so often that brought the sorrows back for a short season but these we must let go of too. I am so sorry for your loss and pray a healing that brings only good times to your remembrances .
